Why Markbeech Village Hall?

A beautiful rural setting

The hall sits within the small picturesque village of Markbeech at the centre of which is Holy Trinity Church, the Kentish Horse Pub and a collection of mostly Victorian residential properties. It is a designated Conservation Area on the northern edge of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a high point between Charts Hills and Ashdown Forest.

Capacity to seat up to 110 guests

The hall is split into two principal areas: the Main Hall and the Reception Room. ​The Main Hall has at one end a raised stage with a lighting and sound system. The Reception Room connects directly to the large garden through double doors. We provide chairs, round and banquet tables.

Large & secure garden

A large open space to the rear of the hall which can be entirely secured from the road. Accessible on foot directly from the hall via the Reception Room. Disabled access from a side gate. The garden can also accommodate marquees, bouncy castles, etc. New extended patio area and seating.

New fully functioning kitchen

New modern kitchen built to latest hygiene standards, professionally equipped to deal with all major functions. Connected through a large serving hatch to the Reception Room and a short walk to the Main Hall.​

Great transport links

Less than 30 miles from the centre of London, direct trains from London Bridge reach the local station of Cowden within 45 minutes. Gatwick Airport is only 15 miles away and 40 minutes drive to the nearest Eurostar station (Ebbsfleet International)
